Looking for top RAM configurations for 4K video editing and competitive gaming. Performance matters most, not price. Would I need multiple units of a specific type? Reports suggest ideal options include:

- G.Skill Ripjaws 4 DDR4 2400 C14 8x16GB (per Benchmark)
- Crucial Ballistic sport LT DDR4-2666
- Corsair vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3000
- G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3200 C14 4x16

What do others recommend? Your current setup:
CPU: Intel Core i9-9900KS
GPU: Nvidia RTX Titan
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero Wi-Fi
SSD: Intel 900p Optane NVMe PCIe 280 GB (multiple possible)
PSU: AX1000-1000 Watt, titanium certified, full modular
Cooling: To be decided
Monitor: 1440P 240p HP Omen, x27 Logitech G903 16000 dpi with power play mouse pad
Keyboard: Steelseries Apex Pro
Router: Ubiquity Edge (model pending)

Any insights on upgrading or optimizing this configuration?

Consumer platforms remain relevant even without price pressure because they offer more than just cost savings—they provide enhanced processing power. For storage needs, 64GB is sufficient for 4K60 content, while 128GB becomes ideal for 8K footage.

Brand is irrelevant, focus on DDR4 unregistered models. Higher frequency is beneficial, but don't anticipate significant improvements.
