What is the best Linux distro
I was running CentOS until they discontinued it for the Stream CentOS. Otherwise, I usually use stock Ubuntu or whatever RPM version Red Hat, OpenSUSE, etc., provide. I generally stick with what comes to me and feel free to mix things up, but I often return to Ubuntu for my daily tasks.
MX Linux serves as a shell across multiple virtual machines (XP, Win 7, Win 10, various Nix distributions). VPN and financial tools run smoothly from Linux through XP up to the current version. I’m using Win 7 due to the many commitments tied to that OS—like my offroad GPS—that I’m too lazy to switch. Win 10 is for tax purposes; I’ve tried other OSes in VM just for entertainment. I’m not particularly inclined toward MacOS since I don’t see it as better than Linux. I don’t play games, so anything a computer needs can be handled without extra effort.
