Teamspeak or mumble are my preferences. I strongly avoid Skype because its performance drops significantly with many users. TS3 handles large groups much better.

I've relied on Vent and Teamspeak during my Warcraft journey, but I prefer Teamspeak the most. Its voice activation really enhances the experience for me.

The dedicated Teamspeak team chat offers many features and some entertaining plugins. I pushed most of my gaming buddies from Skype to Teamspeak since Skype isn’t great. They still use Skype for personal chats, but that’s a lot of noise!
