What is the best 4070 Super variant for a mid tower in hot weather?
Hi,
I'm setting up a new gaming/work rig using a 4070 Super. The 50 series models are significantly more expensive here. The options I have are:
-Gigabyte Aero, Asus TUF/Prime/ProArt (~$740)
-MSI Slim, Gigabyte Gaming/Eagle (~$701)
-Zotac Trinity, Asus Dual/EVO (~$680)
-Zotac Twin Edge (~$600)
I’ll be using a mid-tower with about 380-400mm of GPU space. In my location it can get quite hot—up to 40°C without air conditioning. I don’t plan to overclock, but I do work with 3D and render projects often, so keeping temperatures low under load is important.
Should I opt for the cheapest model and spend the difference on a good case with solid cooling, or should I invest in a higher-end 3D fan?
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! I'm planning to use a mid tower and in my area it can sometimes reach 40C. Please be specific—mention the make and model of your case as well as your exact location. If I were you, I'd choose the most affordable card available, because the more expensive Asus cards are just branded markup.
