What is the ATX 3.0 power supply rated at 750W to 850W?
Hey there,
the bequiet pure power 10 500W stopped working, and I checked some suggestions. The RM750x and RM850x kept showing up often. I like them because of their good price and 10-year warranty. After more research, I found out they don’t support ATX 3.0, which might not be useful in the long run. Should I invest extra for an ATX 3.0 power supply, or is it enough to just increase wattage?
I’d appreciate some advice on ATX 3.0 PSUs and whether they’re worth the extra cost.

They don't officially back ATX 3.0, yet you can still use a Type 4 12VHPWR cable to power 40 series GPUs.
If you prefer the RMx lineup, the RM750x Shift and RM850x Shift are solid choices.
RM750e and RM850e offer decent performance but aren't top-tier.
In the same range you'll find the MSI MAG series, the be quiet! Pure Power 12 series, and the Thermaltake GX3 and GF A3 models.
I wasn't expecting to be using a high-end GPU soon. My focus was mainly on the separate sideband for PSU GPU communication and other minor features.
I’d like to get the Shift series, but I’m unsure if my case (pure base 600) would work. I also considered the RMe but prefer a 10-year warranty.
I haven’t heard much about the Pure Power 12 or the Thermaltake GF A3 (the GX only has 5 years of warranty), do you have any experience with either?

Here is a Seasonic Vertex GX 850w with a 12-year warranty.
Interesting, the box lists a 10-year warranty on newegg, yet the product description and Seasonic website indicate a 12-year warranty.
