CS:GO feels like a straightforward shootout, whereas PUBG leans more toward survival challenges. You can scan for enemies, wait until the end, or wander around the area. It also stands its ground if you're into battle royale experiences.

Do you want to know why I believe they have a strong edge? It feels like one of the most balanced games (RNG). There are benefits from studying the layout and finding optimal hiding spots, but there’s truly nothing that surpasses that—new players can easily target a rank 1 player from a distance and eliminate him simply because he wasn’t paying attention. When I lose, I usually see what I could have done better to avoid it.

Play this first-person shooter from the start without any third-person view. The camera should let you see behind obstacles while staying hidden—no one does that. This issue also affected DayZ, which is why I stick to Arma 3 on HC servers. If you ignore these same problems and bugs, the game feels much better.

It seems you're recalling information about a game with a first-person perspective only mode.

It's essentially the top choice in its category (similar titles exist but not exactly), it's enjoyable and hard to quit. You can't improve your character by spending more time or money (meaning leveling up and getting better weapons than beginners). This ensures fairness and equal opportunities for all. The loot system uses randomness, which is preferable over starting with weaker gear each time. This holds true for your first five or so matches; beyond that, matchmaking will pair you with players of similar skill, not just newcomers. Luck plays a role in loot and positioning, sometimes letting a beginner beat a more experienced player. It's not quite like CS GO if you think you can easily win back-to-back games. PUBG can be very strategic, especially when playing as a team. Each game brings unexpected elements: the playzone, weather, loot drops, vehicle spawns, bombing areas, and where players move across the map. My suggestion? Just play it.

Each has their own choice. I believe PUBG functions well as it stands. Third-person mode isn't unfair if everyone uses it. Also, you can now join lobbies in first person without a switch for third person. Addressing both audiences seems like the ideal approach.

It's unfair even with everyone using the same method. For example, you hide behind a wall and adjust your camera to look over it while your character isn't noticing. Then, suddenly an enemy shows up on the other side of the wall from you. You can see them, they're completely unaware you're there. This gives you a great chance for a surprise attack. If you were in first person, you wouldn't realize he's there unless you've already caught him off guard, at which point he'd have time to react.

It seems you're highlighting effective strategies for handling challenging situations. Making the most of available resources is important, and it's understandable if you feel overlooked when others succeed. I've seen similar approaches in practice, so it's reasonable to adapt accordingly. Some players choose to play only in this mode, which adds a layer of caution. This reflects a mindset of skepticism and preparedness—key traits in survival scenarios.

I think the reason people enjoy this game greatly comes from its unique nature compared to most shooters today. The freedom to shape your actions, facing a single life per session and a limited time frame creates a strong urge to succeed. The difficulty in winning, combined with minimal rewards, adds tension and excitement. The thrill of playing alongside friends, the suspense of being left out, and the sudden bursts of action—like jumping into a car before others or watching enemies emerge from the back seat—make it incredibly engaging.

It's the blend of different genres—especially survival and battle royale—that has drawn a large audience for a long time, yet few games have successfully brought those concepts to life. Those titles are often rough, incomplete, and generally less enjoyable than PUBG. You can share videos proving CS:GO outperforms PUBG, but I doubt players seeking that kind of experience would be interested in PUBG. I don’t care about PUBG itself, but I won’t post arguments about Deus Ex or similar games unless they’re relevant.
