It’s a backup of your system or files, created by copying everything to another location. It helps protect your data and allows you to restore previous versions if needed.

Consider adding LMWTFY right before sharing the link.

It seems Linus mentioned avoiding LMGTFY content, but I assumed LMWTFY posts would be treated similarly.

I wasn't taking it seriously, which is why the letters are acting silly.

NP I didn't pay much attention. Just enough to share (I wasn't in a tight spot) but not severe enough to cause any upset.

Sharing a link on the Wiki indicates you’re unfamiliar with its purpose and are being careless. If you’re unwilling to reply, they won’t bother. Shadow Copy is a Windows tool that creates a backup of your system and saves only the changed parts of files. It helps you revert to a previous state after a failed update or software installation. In some cases, it can help undo malware or virus damage, though many corrupt these backups. However, some viruses erase them entirely, leaving no restore option. Restore points from Shadow Copy can become unusable if you use third-party defrag tools, since Windows tracks where these backups are stored. In Windows 7, Shadow Copy included personal files, letting you go back in time from the Properties panel. Windows 8 removed this feature, replacing it with File History—a more reliable backup that stays on the same drive, can be shared across systems, and resists corruption from defrag software.

Imagine sharing a lot of ideas? That doesn't mean I don't understand what something is. It might just mean I'm not used to being a teacher or wordsmith, and I can't always fit the meaning into a short post like others do in a detailed piece. Instead of rewriting it all, I connect to an article that fully explains it.
