When i end its task, it reappears again !! and it consumes internet cause i see some send/receive to it. What is it ? and how do i get rid of it forever ? Im using Win10.

You can turn it off by disabling Cortana entirely, since you don’t use it or have it in your taskbar. It shows up automatically because Cortana is enabled by default. To stop it from using bandwidth, disable Cortana’s services or settings completely.

Take a deep breath, I'm here to help. Launch Cortana and verify that your notebook settings don't store any data about you (like tracking numbers or events). Navigate to Settings > Cortana & Search > Talk To Cortana and turn off all features. Proceed to the Permissions & History tab, then disable anything you don’t need. Move to the next section (Cortana across my devices) and turn off “Get notifications on this device.” Restart your PC. Cortana includes various tools: web search, local file sync, basic SMS replies, and more. All tracking is managed under the Notebooks area. There’s a lot of activity happening online, but the indexing service remains active for your convenience.

I didn’t mean to come across as rude or anything. I was just wondering if it might be a virus. I tried your suggestions step by step, but it’s still running in my resource monitor. I found a suspicious code—possibly a batch file on Reddit—that triggers some unnecessary tasks, including Cortana. It keeps showing up. Am I stuck with this forever?

It functions consistently. To fully eliminate it, you must disable the search capability across your system.
