It might not be necessary, but many existing resources will rely on it, so getting familiar with it is at least beneficial. It’s also the simplest and quickest method for certain tasks. I understand that some individuals who only handle the basics might never use it, but anyone planning to implement it sooner or later will encounter it.

The belief that Linux requires constant terminal interaction often discourages many from trying it. In reality, most users would feel more comfortable if they understood that Linux can function with minimal terminal use after setup. While the terminal remains powerful, it isn't essential for everyday tasks once everything is configured. Even when the terminal is required, there are clear instructions and commands that can be copied directly into it. Distros like Mint Cinnamon, Zorin, and PopOS are likely the most accessible for those transitioning from Windows. It's important to remember that despite its similarities to Windows, Linux operates fundamentally differently underneath the surface. Recognizing this makes learning much simpler for newcomers.
