What is "KB5001649"?? (UPDATED)
While reviewing for fresh Windows updates after a clean install via Boot Camp, I spotted an unusual entry on the downloads list that didn’t actually download or install. It reads: "2021-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5001649)." After several attempts to apply it, the process halted with a stop code, as shown in the photo. Researching this KB or any recent updates didn’t yield results, since the update appears to be missing. No malware warnings from Kaspersky have appeared so far, suggesting it’s not malicious, but it keeps appearing on the update screen. It feels like a tease from Microsoft—perhaps someone is facing the same problem. Maybe another user has encountered this too; let me know if you have any ideas. UPDATE: This patch permanently removes Adobe Flash Player and addresses BSOD issues during printing on 20H2 systems. Once installed, it can’t be removed. As of now, the update still blocks progress in Windows Updates settings. I haven’t faced this while using my Canon printer at home, but I might install it to get rid of the Flash Player. I’ll keep this thread open until further updates are available. Thanks everyone! Hello, just confirming the same issue is occurring. I haven't missed any notifications before.
Find the update details. It seems related to fixing issues where graphics don't display in documents after the March 9, 2021 update. I haven't installed it yet; I might check tomorrow.
У меня та же ошибка во всех трех стацианорных компах. Видно, что vinda одинакова, но качал с оффсайта при установке (позже поврежден), а в нужной части — полностью официальная вина. Код вшит в ноут. Проблема: русский интерфейс vindy.
