I am about to send a message on FB, but it vanishes unexpectedly. Could there be a software setting I chose that is causing this? While I am posting, it isn't happening as expected. What strange things are occurring in FB? TIA

Facebook and meta are essentially the same platform, which is referred to as the Zuchber. ( whatever SP?) So perhaps it's better to switch to another social network or browser.

If there are any browser problems, clear cookies and all data immediately and restart the browser.

Clarify the situation around when it vanishes. Is it referring to the message itself, or something else like the browser closing? Could be anything—such as a notification disappearing, a page loading, or an error message. What exactly happens afterward if "it" is gone?

Many of my family and friends have stopped using Facebook or whatever it is now.
I "closed out" some time ago and don’t have any way to test it right now.

If the message disappears and "Facebook" is still there, it might point to a Facebook issue.
Or something a regular user could handle.
It’s possible that accidentally pressing certain keys while typing can delete the message or make it vanish. This could happen directly or indirectly.
I found several links and tutorials about deleting messages or comments.
For instance:
https://superpower.social/blogs/how-to-d...step-guide
More such resources are available.
Pay attention to what you type and do when messages disappear.

I continue to use FB for sharing and support concerning my physical health, which is relevant to me.

I was not seeking information about your use of Facebook.

But if the topic involves health or medical issues, you might be breaking a guideline.
Or you could be violating the Community Standards in another way.
In any case, I anticipate a warning would appear if needed.
I wouldn’t assume messages vanish while being entered.
You might want to review your page for any breaches and reach out to Facebook support.

That would make sense if. I couldn't post at all.
Sometimes unposted content appears in red ovals, but the next day it becomes visible without issues.

I searched for "red oval in Facebook message texts". There were several possible explanations and solutions. Reach out to Facebook support.
