What is depth of field?
Depth of field refers to the range of distance in a photo that appears acceptably sharp. When you adjust it, it controls how much of the scene stays clear versus blurred. If it’s set low, focusing won’t make much difference between aiming and not aiming—it’ll look almost the same.
Depth of field describes how much of a scene looks clear from front to back. It changes based on the camera model, aperture setting, and how close or far you are focusing. Print dimensions and how far you view also affect how we see depth of field.
The clarity around your attention is decreasing. Here’s a sample: transitioning from High DOF → Moderate DOF → Very Low DOF or near zero.
It seems like a method is applied as a kind of overlay on the final image, adjusting based on depth of field. The more accurate the DOF, the more calculations are required. I might be misunderstanding—could clarify?
