What is a good video editing software?
I generally rely on Sony Vegas Pro, though its interface feels a bit clunky compared to Premier Pro. It runs well with lower-end hardware, which suits your situation. It really depends on your budget and what you have available. Your setup works fine—just keep in mind the requirements of your PC or laptop. Advice approved!
I believe calling it "easy and intuitive" isn't always accurate since I've noticed others find Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas Pro challenging. It really depends on your experience with a particular editor; familiarity makes it feel more natural. For me, Sony Vegas Pro works well because I've used it for some time and learned its features. If I were recommending an intuitive video editor to @JoshuaTjandra, I'd suggest:
- Corel VideoStudio (Windows Only)
- Pinnicle Studio Ultimate
- CyberLink PowerDirector
This is just my perspective, though everyone has their own.
It's true that Premiere Pro was significantly pricier than Vegas Pro before the introduction of CS 6 and prior versions. However, with the shift to a subscription model, Adobe has greatly reduced the cost, making the software more accessible for regular users.
Lightworks is an excellent, robust, challenging-to-learn, free and open-source video editing tool available for Windows, Linux, and possibly a Mac beta.
