It’s questionable how accurately the marketing portrays this CPU. While it’s labeled a "12-core," eight of them are dedicated to graphics, which doesn’t align with the rest being general-purpose cores.

That clarifies a lot! It’s possible the GPU has more than just eight processing cores—maybe it’s using multiple ROPs or other optimizations. According to GPU-Z, it seems to be handling eight ROPs, which could explain its performance.

AMD GPUs have unique naming conventions compared to NVIDIA. For instance, a 1080 Ti features 3584 CUDA cores and 88 ROPs, whereas a Vega 64 has 64 Vega cores (64 ROPs) yet performs similarly. Similarly, the GT 1030 boasts 384 quad cores and 16 ROPs, but it falls short of the integrated graphics in Vega 11—just 11 ROPs and 11 Vega cores.
