Hi all,
I'm going to be buying a Philips ambilight tv soon and can't decide whether to buy the next generation consoles when they release or to just upgrade my current PC setup for some top-notch visual gaming experience...
I think that some of my RAM is faulty as I encounter a few issues when running multiple programs and I'd assume I would need a GPU upgrade but thought I'd ask for some suggestions from some of the wizards that roam these parts...
Budget would hopefully be less than £500, here's what I'm working with currently:
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.3GHz
Motherboard: Z79S SLI Krait Edition (MS - 7922)
RAM: 12288MB
1TB HDD
500GB SSD

Used 4th gen i7s in the UK are generally sought after for their performance and value, often used by enthusiasts and professionals needing reliable power.

considering £200 and a long drive across the country, I might exceed the budget. if a new processor costs £350, it could work... would the motherboard support an i7?

I'm having trouble understanding that link, sorry!
I'm asking for suggestions of parts they've used successfully that match my setup...
I've noticed upgrading to an i7 could be a good idea and have saved this link—I might find the right fit later...
