As mentioned in the title, shoutcasters play a significant part in maintaining audience interest during live broadcasts. Regardless of whether you understand their language or not, your attention remains, even when nothing seems happening. I often watch Twitch streams on mobile with reduced quality to enjoy solo games and listen directly to the hosts, because it feels just as engaging as radio sports. What are your thoughts on shoutcasters? Which ones do you like best and what games do you think perform the best overall? My top pick is Rivington the 3rd, especially for his compelling backstory and the annual solo queue game moments I enjoyed. I also appreciate Korean hosts for their exceptional comedic timing and ability to make everyone laugh.

You refuse to attend events with poor casters, regardless of the teams involved. My top casters are Deman and Anders.

Occasionally, it was the host who drew me into Starcraft II events, not the competition itself. After that, I understood that my interest in Esports wasn’t about the action, but the analysis and discussion.

One reason I can't watch EU LCS in LoL is the casters. They're not very engaging, lacking chemistry and charisma compared to their US counterparts—everything feels flat. HoN had a decent caster named BreakyCPK; he wasn’t the most knowledgeable, but he kept things lively and made long matches fun. A strong caster can turn a dull game into something exciting, while a weak one can make even a good match feel tedious.

I understand, I once enjoyed watching EU, but after adding Deficio to the cast I stopped being interested. His voice is very flat, and even though he attempts to sound excited, it doesn’t come across.

I really appreciate when the casters show strong excitement for the games, even if the teams aren’t top contenders. Their passion for these matches, which many might ignore, inspires me to become more engaged. Enthusiasm plays a big role in life.

I don’t really enjoy watching esports, but I appreciate shoutcasters because their energy makes you want to join in. It would be great if they used better microphones so the audio could capture more depth and clarity, reducing that muffled sound and giving listeners a richer experience.

I really enjoy shoutcatser or the commentators—they add a unique perspective to the games. My top picks are probably (and these all talk about Super Smash Bros. games): D1, Prog, Scar and Toph. Others are also quite amusing. Here are some highlight clips: (Be careful, the first two get quite loud) This one is amusing because it features two Melee players commenting on a Smash 4 match (two very different titles). You’ll hear them joking about Smash 4 and say some casual remarks.

Only the Rainbow Six players could learn from them. These individuals seem to be among the worst examples of shoutcasting I've ever seen.

NA casters in LoL deliver a dynamic, engaging style. In Korea, English-speaking players like Montecristo tend to act more like commentators, focusing on analysis instead of storytelling.
