Recently my customer's HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6 Notebook experienced a problem where it would blink an amber light eight times indicating a BIOS issue. After fixing the BIOS and reprogramming the chip, the system started but no audio appeared, and when trying to fix the audio again it failed. The same issue persisted. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I obtained the BIOS file from a specific source. For the audio issue, I checked the troubleshooting steps already attempted before this discussion began.

I received the BIOS file from Badcaps and installed and removed audio drivers multiple times, including overwriting the OS and downloading drivers from HP support. The issue persists: an earpiece doesn't function, but external outputs such as TV or earbuds do.
