What games work well on budget laptops?
Fascinating, that would have been a real help for me during my time with the Intel HD 500 laptop.
The bothersome ones right now are the outdated games from the mid-90s. Old DX titles from versions 1 through 7, and occasionally 8, often face issues when running on today's operating systems.
I've been thinking about trying PC Em for some of those.

talking about it, I can't get Star Wars the Force Unleashed to work properly since it keeps crashing. The game is essentially unplayable because of crashes either before or right after loading into a level. I've heard small page file sizes might be the problem, but I'm sure that's not the case because I changed the pagefile size to 8192 MB and it didn't help.
the previous major blackout we experienced during a hurricane led me to set up a collection of Shadowrun titles on an older, more affordable computer. it was nice to revisit the series, though i doubted I'd played any since the 90s on the SNES.
