Hello, your new R9 290 Vapor-X arrived today! It looks great and works exceptionally well. This is my second GPU purchase after the 270X. Getting this one lets me choose three titles from AMD's Never Settle GOLD Bundle at the provided link. I previously selected Dirt 3 for the Bronze version, but now the 290 unlocks a Gold bundle with three games. My Steam collection already includes Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, and Sleeping Dogs. Based on the available list, what should I select? I don’t have a strong preference for indie games unless they’re particularly engaging and long-running. I’m also eligible for the "Never Settle: Space Edition." Thanks! -Paul EDIT: Just Cause 2 seems like my clear first pick unless I’m persuaded otherwise.

These games are not part of the Saints Row series, Company of Heroes 2, or Darksiders 2. They are separate titles with different themes and gameplay.

Star player, Alien: Isolation and Shogun 2 – I’d prefer Alan Wake over Shogun, but you can find it at a low price on Steam or bundle deals, so it’s best to grab it there if it fits your interests... especially for JC2.

I didn't enjoy Saints Row, and I haven't tried the other games you suggested.

Choosing Alien: Isolation implies you're reserving it before release, just like pre-ordering a movie. The same logic applies to Star Citizen.

Your current selections include Just Cause 2 and Star Citizen. I’m still figuring out what Star Citizen offers—they mentioned a free ship and two modules, but I’m not entirely clear on the benefits.

Yep, Star Citizen I’m not familiar with all the details of that bundle, but I’d guess it would provide alpha and beta access so you can enjoy the (early) version now. Alien: Isolation should function similarly to a pre-order, with the developers emailing the key once it’s released. I did this with Thief last year too.

Edit: Just noticed your latest post—two modules are probably the hangar module and Arena Commander module, unless they combine the hangar module with the upcoming FPS module.

You explored their site and grasped the details now. The fact that both games are officially launched raises questions about the Star Citizen business approach. It seems likely they use a subscription model, but it’s unclear whether you’ll be wasting time if you decide to join.
