I’m having trouble discovering fresh games for my PC and I’m not entirely sure what to choose. I’d like something engaging with a narrative element, not overly competitive. Looking at the list of games I’ve played gives me an idea of my preferences.

They seem a bit scattered. Do you enjoy indie games? I like this site, they even offer free games with great stories.

I could consider indie titles, any particular suggestion? Also, I enjoy arcade games or even shorter ones, open worlds with stories, but I'm open to trying different types of games.

It's tough to decide. Consider getting a bundle deal so you can pick what you want to pay for. You might discover a game you enjoy. Of course, you'll also encounter games that are still in early stages and might not look great, but small developers need to begin somewhere. If you're into pinball, Steam offers Zaccaria Pinball for free (one full table) and a discount on several classic tables for just 99 cents.

I forgot to note that those games in the bundles will include Steam keys.

I suggest the original Mass Effect trilogy. It includes many of the aspects you like, and they're my top picks. They're also quite affordable.

You might also enjoy other Metro titles (Last Light and Exodus) along with the Crysis series. With a capable system, you'll experience enjoyable gameplay and storytelling (Metro's style), plus impressive graphics. These games are often chosen for benchmarking because of their quality. The Bioshock series is also worth mentioning. As a trilogy, Mass Effect (excluding Andromeda) stands out as my favorite. The mechanics in ME1 feel slow and outdated, but they significantly improve in ME2 and 3.
