You can anticipate strong performance with these specs in Arma 3. The R9 390 and I5 6600K will deliver smooth gameplay at 1440P resolution.

ARMA 3's performance depends heavily on CPU power. The game is poorly coded and runs very slowly across all platforms.

It's a solid CPU, but with some adjustments it could hit around 60 FPS at 1440p.

The monitor operates at 60Hz, which works well.

Similar scenarios I imagine... previously I played that game with 4770K at 4.3ghz and a GTX 780 running at 1225mhz in 1080p. Everything was CPU-bound (or better said, the game didn’t utilize more cores) and it felt like poor, inefficient coding. I was consistently around 45 FPS in multiplayer. The same applies to DayZ and H1Z1, which use the same engine.

Yeah I bought H1Z1 and I'm averaging 55FPS despite the game not looking too good and no cores going above 50%. I know it's an overclocked FX not an i7 but still that's something else than the CPU imo

Relies on server status: empty map at 80+fps when AI is active; otherwise 40 fps.
