Consider useful monitoring solutions. Users favor intuitive interfaces with clear visuals, similar to a GUI or camera view. Linux offers extensive capabilities for tracking various metrics. Built-in applications with informative charts are great for observing temperature, usage, load, and other system details. Additionally, hardware testing utilities such as GPU burn-in tests, CPU stress tests, and HDD performance checks are valuable.
I’m looking for a lightweight Linux distribution such as LFS or Gentoo. I prefer building systems myself without any automatic installers. Building my own kernel is also on my mind.
It really doesn’t make much sense beyond being a joke. The main reason for making a distro is that people aren’t happy with existing ones and want something different. Improvement is the starting point, and the distribution follows that idea—not the other way around. If you just want a personalized appearance, create it and share it on the store or download center; KDE, Gnome, and Unity likely already have the tools for this. Otherwise, it’s just a fun (April 1st) prank! (EDIT: sorry if this sounds harsh, but that’s my genuine view) Edited April 3, 2018 by Wild Penquin
Standard WINE setup for a wide range of titles. Built-in GPU support with custom drivers. Key feature: seamless removal capability.
Gnome-desktop is my top choice because it runs on Ubuntu and works well with most programs. It avoids the AUR on Arch, which can sometimes be unsafe or confusing. Steam and Wine are already set up, and the interface looks custom in black and orange.
