Alien: Isolation and the Evil Within 2 earn my approval. I also suggest Spooky's House of Jumpscares Jumpscare [Mansion]. It has a charming look but effectively builds tension, especially when a cute pumpkin appears to scare you. Edit: The game includes genuine enemies to dodge, each offering a unique and refreshing challenge.

I had already done my run-through from last year, and a couple of friends came over and we all had a great time laughing together. It was really fun!
