I've been considering upgrading my GPU and thought it might seem unnecessary. However, it could have been the reason for the random black screen issues I've seen in my past posts about monitor screens going black. I checked the 4000 series GPUs from Nvidia and saw ATX 3.0 for the 4090. I wondered if my PSU supports that, specifically the Corsair HX1200W Fully Modular 80+ Platinum. My MSI Rtx 3090 Ti seems to be working fine, but it's struggling a bit. I'm not sure how to describe it—it's still functional, but the person who sold me it was used. I spent about $1,200. I don't think my CPU will be affected if I upgrade, using an I9-10850k. Still, would my PSU hold up with the upgrade?

No, the PSU isn't ATX 3.0:
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu...fu...-techspecs
But this shouldn't affect your present setup or upcoming upgrades.

Don't dismiss the CPU by ignoring the per-core usage; the 10850K matches the low IPC of the 6th gen Skylake. What graphics card did you have before?

There isn't anything you can do to make your PSU ATX 3.0. There are adapter cables you can get directly from Corsair, if needed.
For example:

ATX 3.0 adds the new 12V 12/16-pin power cable. The real focus lies in managing power spikes and overcurrent restrictions to improve flexibility in power delivery. A double output for 100 microseconds is now the standard. Many 1000W and 850W PSUs lack the capability to handle the 30 series or 40 series, often shutting down under load due to inability to sustain the power spike.

Sure, I understand. You're wondering if it's possible to use a different component and avoid replacing your power supply unit.

I hope everyone is enjoying 4K playback since a 4090 on a 10850k is not ideal.
