I'm only for playing one or two games; the rest are on Steam.

I’ve got it set up mostly for the occasional Fortnite session and to snag any of their free offerings. There’s been some solid quality given away, which makes it reasonable to take advantage of them. Regarding the bigger debate about the company and its motives—I’m not really into it. It’s a business entity that exists to generate revenue. Stop expecting them to act ethically or fairly; they’re driven by profit. The creators, the dedicated artists, and developers are the ones focused on crafting quality games. Publishers, meanwhile, prioritize big profits, often pushing developers to release incomplete or poorly balanced content just to ride trends or capitalize on seasonal spikes like Christmas. In short, grab what you can, use it if needed, and that’s enough.

I believe Epic's strategy to sidestep consumer pressure is deeply problematic. I wouldn't pay extra anywhere else before accepting a free game from them. Any agreement they make clearly favors their interests.

I love Epic. They've been giving away tons of games and a good amount of the are great. I remember last year when they broke the internet by giving away GTAV. I'm tired of Steam's dominance. The Steam store and client looks the same as it did 10-15 years ago. Steam sales used to be great. I'd wake up in the middle of the night to purchase AAA games at 75% off. Today Steam sales would be 10% off on AAA titles. No thanks Steam.
