Is anyone planning to purchase Amazons MMO New World? It seems quite intriguing, as I enjoyed WoW and Guild Wars 2 when they were released but have lost interest over the past few years. Can anyone clarify how New World will function, especially since it looks very different from what we're used to in Guild Wars 2?

The new world seems promising. They addressed many problems by listening to testers from alpha and prealpha. Amazon has the resources to make this happen. It looks quite different thanks to its financial support and technological advancements. No major company has developed new MMOs in over five years now. I'm really looking forward to seeing it.
It seems the game's competitive aspects and subscription requirements might deter me. The level of PvP focus and the need for constant contributions could be exhausting. While I appreciate engaging stories and diverse characters, the grind feels too much for my preferences. Hope the game succeeds!
No subscription required to play. Purchase and enjoy. Micro transactions for skins and appearance items are available only through the method Amazon describes. They also expanded the PvE content following alpha testing. The game is designed to be played in groups or teams, though. Players must choose to participate in PvP.
