Hey, I see you're facing some challenges with your current setup. Your PC is struggling with modern games even on low settings, especially on a 1366x768 monitor. The experience you described with the 32-inch TV doesn’t look great either. You mentioned trying resolution scalers in several titles but noticed issues with performance and visuals. A native sub HD monitor could definitely help, though it might be costly. Since you’re not up for an upgrade right now, a smaller monitor might be a practical compromise. Let me know if you want more options or tips!

I’d choose the TV for the task. Alternatively, set your monitor to 1080p or 900p manually (skip the resolution scale). When using non-native RES on a 1080p display, make sure you enable this option in the Nvidia Control Panel for GPU scaling before sending it out—this ensures SmarterGPU adjusts properly instead of relying on DumbTV scaling. Let the GPU handle the work first and adjust accordingly.

You're still expected to perform well above HD resolution, even if some sources label 1366x768 as HD. When discussing efficiency, it means maintaining smooth gameplay without noticeable drops or stuttering. A low average FPS or frequent lag spikes indicate a less optimal setup. Modern CPUs can handle higher resolutions, but older GPUs like the GTX 780 may struggle with modern games at full resolution unless optimized properly.
