Your build experienced a downgrade, but you're still satisfied. What are your thoughts on the link you shared?
I believe selecting 3800x or 3700x with the B450 TOMAHAWK (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jcYQzy/...mahawk-max) and a 5700 XT (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3YTzK8/...293-01-20g or https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ZZZzK8/...bd6-3dhroc)) instead of 9900K, Z390 platform and the 2070S) can yield a 2TB or larger NVME drive while staying affordable. You might achieve similar performance with better value and more upgrade potential. Your preference matters—especially for tasks like quicksync and NVENC video work!
Remembered that benchmarks could be useful. Updated April 24, 2020 by Tech Geek
I was really eager to assemble my computer and one aspect I wanted to highlight was the excitement of ordering stylish components that made me feel like a child in a candy store. That’s why I chose the 9900k—it has great packaging. The other parts didn’t quite meet my expectations due to their prices, but I focused on the look of each individual component. Some parts aren’t my favorites, but at least I managed to get all the necessary items. Plus, I might share my build process online, which would be fun!
Consider clarifying your setup a bit more. Are you thinking about performance boosts from gaming or editing software like Adobe Premiere? It seems your 9900K might not be worth it without a high-end GPU like the RTX 2080 Ti. (https://pcpartpicker.com/products/video-...rice&c=424) If you invest that much, you might prioritize speed and efficiency over other components. Of course, I'm just sharing thoughts, not trying to argue.
