I've used onlive, and I really enjoyed onlive (though I don't think cloud will replace traditional desktop or console gaming). It became much more reliable later, around 2014, when games ran smoothly. I also played saints row 3 on my phone.
I tried nvidia cloud, but it wasn't as great as onlive; it's still okay if you have a less powerful laptop or desktop and want to play games.

I tried the Nvidia one a couple of years ago and didn't see any benefit. My internet connection was usually slow outside my home, so using my PC or PS4 made more sense. *shrug*

I also tried Gaikai or the OnLive competitor back then. It worked fine.

I recently used Shadow on a 2017 iMac. It performed well, though I wish they would boost the storage from 256GB to 500GB.
