Hey everyone, I looked up information online about setting up a CS GO tournament. I found some Reddit discussions but wanted to clarify my needs. I’m aiming to link 10–11 PCs together with strong connections and low ping. I also want to know if I should upgrade my PC specs or if I can run the game using my current hardware. Connecting all these machines will be a fun small event. I think a Cat 5 or Cat 6 connection is necessary, but those connectors are pricey. Should I use a hub or handle the networking myself? Thanks in advance and let me know what I should prepare!

Think of it as linking everything to a 15-port switch. A mid-range i5 or i7 should handle it just fine for running the server.

If you want the PC without an i5 or i7, my friend has a 6600K and he can't overclock. I have a Ryzen 1400, but we can use a Ryzen 1600 for hosting. The server only needs to support 10 players because it's a 5v5 competition—it's not a large tournament.

It looks like you're referring to a task for a 1400-year-old system. Just fine, I'll handle it!

You should be able to run smoothly on a Ryzen 1600 with 16 GB RAM, and the tick server options are 64 or 128.

Perfect at 128 ticks, just double-check before applying it in real scenarios

No, you cannot watch a game and host it simultaneously.

I can link a Ryzen 1600 with 16GB RAM to a CAT 5 setup and figure out the rest of your gaming PC connections. Since you haven’t used a switch before, we’ll set that up first. Let me know if you need step-by-step guidance.
