The top choice seems to be a 3600 paired with a good cooler and manual overclocking. A Ryzen 3 Zen 2 would likely be better since the ARMA 3 server doesn’t need many cores. Thanks for the reminder about the Ryzen 3 x200.

I would choose the 8th or 9th generation Intel processors and push them to their maximum settings. Using fast RAM alongside would make a significant difference.

Amd could really outshine Intel in this situation. I’d go for a 3700 at least, because having four cores on the same chip can significantly cut down latency—something that matters a lot for servers. Even though AMD might run slower on a single clock speed, their architecture still delivers strong performance. A 3600 MHz RAM or more would be ideal, along with a solid drive for both gaming and server tasks. I’m not sure how many players you expect, but that’s the choice I’d make. It might seem pricey, but for a server it’s worth the investment.
