Hello! For your RTX 4060, you'll want a CPU that matches its performance without causing bottlenecks on an AM4 motherboard. Look for solid-core processors like Intel Core i5 or i7, or AMD Ryzen 5/7. Avoid older generations unless you're okay with lower speeds.

The most cost-effective option is 5800X3D if your budget allows.

The current top deal for an AM4 chip is a 5700x3D. There’s no major concern about a bottleneck since it’s a lower-end model like the 4060, which is straightforward to overclock.

Upgrade your setup beyond DDR4—consider moving to 7600x. Honestly, for the 4060 both 5700x and 7600x might be too much. A Ryzen 8400f would fit better.

The Ryzen 5600 complements the 4060 nicely. The X3D chips are solid but significantly pricier at around $300, which isn't ideal in this case. If you manage to find a 5700x3d for $199 as it was before, that would be perfect.
