Hey, I'm reaching out for assistance with my PC. I'm working on Apex and have seen others with similar configurations reach around 400 fps on low settings, but I'm struggling to hit 100-200.

When you refer to similar specs, do you mean you possess the identical construction as theirs?
Just having "similar" might not produce identical outcomes. There are multiple elements involved in FPS counts, which means a direct comparison can be challenging. I've observed instances where individuals with matching systems still experienced varying FPS results.
Additionally, what other processes are active while you attempt to play Apex? Ensure your AV is configured for Game Mode if available, to prevent any conflicts.

The main variation was that he had an i7-10700 and the motherboard wasn't listed, while his RAM matched the speed and quantity. There was nothing else running in the background except Discord. I completely cleared my PC a day ago to confirm there were no hidden processes. Running it with Discord closed still gave the same FPS.

Are you currently playing online? The internet connection might also lead to a decrease in FPS. (This is uncommon but possible)
Do you have the latest graphics drivers installed?
Have you made any changes to your settings? If yes, revert them to the default and observe the results.

I'm playing online but have D/S and u/s speeds over 100mb/s without any problems before. All my drivers are up to date, and I've even tried changing the drivers before, but it hasn't worked either. Nothing is custom set, everything is on default.

I can assist with running a user benchmark and provide a public link to the results if needed.

ping usually matters more than upload/download speed when playing online games, but how fast you can upload and download is still important too. what is your ping?

In the game it varies from 30 to 60, usually I have a better ping during competition. Online speed tests show 6 ping for idle, 109 for download and 330 for upload.

strange, I am not really sure what is going on unless there is some major difference between the PCs you are comparing against and your system. there isn't much benefit going over your monitor's refresh rate, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
