What could be causing the 9070XT to lack an HDMI signal output?
Hello All,
I’ve made the decision to upgrade my R9 290 to an AMD Sapphire Pulse 9070XT. But after installing the graphics card onto the motherboard, I still don’t see any display signal on my monitor, even though the fans are running.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Updated BIOS and installed the latest driver
- Removed and reinstalled the CMOS battery
- Set BIOS to UEFI only
- Reinstalled Windows 10 from a bootable USB drive
- Swapped HDMI cables
- Tested DisplayPort
- Changed PCIE to Gen 3 in BIOS
- Purchased another 9070XT and encountered the same problem
I’m uncertain what to do next. Could it be that my build from 2014 isn’t compatible with the 9070XT? Thanks.
Your PSU is 9070 XTs, and yes, that's the same one you've been using.
There appear to be many problems online:
Pc no signal with new rx 9070xt
I bought the rx 9070xt today. Unfortunately, after installation my pc screen shows no signal. I tried resetting CMOS by removing the battery, and also put my...
PSU is also from 2014. I used the same PSU for both of the 9070XTs.
I would swap this outdated power supply for a fresh, high-quality unit with a minimum of 850W capacity. PSUs tend to lose efficiency over time. Your current one has served well, but it needs replacement to enable use of this GPU.
Have you checked the input ports on the display itself? Have you experimented with various cables? Are you employing any adapters for the HDMI connection? Is DisplayPort a viable option? Are you connecting your display to the GPU rather than the motherboard video ports, correct?
