I plan to enhance my PCs performance by upgrading its MOBO, CPU, and RAM, aiming for overclocking. As a beginner in this area, I'm unsure which cooler would be best.
Current specs: CPU i7 7700k, GPU GTX 970, MOBO gigabyte z270x-ultra gaming, RAM 2x4 Patriot viper DDR4, HDD WD Green 1tb, SSD Samsung 850evo 256gb, PSU Cooler Master 600w, case Cooler Master Midl tower Elite K(night) 350.

This product is not recommended unless you already own it. Your current case doesn't accommodate 240mm radiators or tall coolers (up to 148mm). It will cool adequately, but the price is quite high. You can still reach 4.8GHZ performance. I would consider purchasing a more suitable case for better and more affordable cooling options.

I share the same CPU and MOBO. EVGA ACX cooler (red LED) with F6 bios. The CPU behaves erratically, frequently reaching 80-100% usage even when idle, like opening Chrome, then dropping again. I can hear the cooler changing speed constantly. What's your configuration?

the 7700k tends to be spiky and temperatures might spike even with a decent cooler. i’d opt for a large air cooler or a 280mm+ aio, based on space availability. and don’t count on a massive overclock.
