Basically because everyone is pushing to do it.
Hoo-boy, those Redditors...
You were discussing it with a group of casual users. The experts weren't present then.
"I'd rather invest a bit more in something capable of handling any game I throw at it."
That's what I understand—somewhat:
A) When resolution increases, the burden moves more to the GPU, while the CPU becomes less strained. The opposite happens too.
B) One of the biggest challenges with this advanced PC hardware is software. If developers don't optimize their games to take full advantage of the new features from manufacturers, then it's all for nothing.
Those 20 threads in a 10-9; what's the point...

The build needs improvement, but you must wait for the RTX 3070. Avoid purchasing an RTX 2070 for 500 dollars.

I intend to hold off until the new GPU becomes available before buying. Overall, do you feel everything is in order? You're definitely aiming for a solid first gaming PC that runs smoothly.

There are some aspects of that build that don't sit well with me. You might consider purchasing a new Intel CPU from the 10000 series paired with a more affordable motherboard. 64GB of RAM would be sufficient for a gaming rig. The power supply is another point—200 dollars for an RM is reasonable, but getting the RMX would be better and more cost-effective.

The price gap between the 10k series and this one is significant. I didn't believe it was worth the cost just for gaming.

A lot of choices you picked seemed out of place for a gaming PC or just confusing:
-The 9900K is way too old; go with 10600K!
-A 240mm hybrid cooler fits better with the 10600K, not the 9900K. For the 9900K, aim for 280mm or bigger.
-A 450USD mobo in a gaming PC is a stretch; most people stick to 16GB or less, max 32GB.
-The 1TB SSD next to the 2TB HDD is a bit mixed up. I think the HDD should hold the game library and the SSD the OS. A 250-500GB drive would work better. I like keeping the OS on its own drive.
-Corsair Spec Delta is a popular 'hot box' style case. Not much more to say about it.
-The Spec Delta already has three LED fans front-mounted. Just one more for the rear would be enough—the hybrid cooler is already up there, right? No need for the extra pack.

I'm still learning how to use PCs, but I followed some advice from a Reddit user. Final thoughts on this? A bit changed.

Reddit... Ok, I get it.
-You made a remark about the price difference between 10th and 9th gen, so why'd you jump all the way to the 10900K?
=This is more of a heads up, but to save yourself a potential problem: do not plug both monitors into the gpu. Plug the secondary monitor into the motherboard so it runs off the cpu's iGPU.
Monitors with different native refresh rates can cause stuttering if they're all plugged in the gpu - frame buffer desync.

Mainly because everyone is recommending it. I’d rather invest a bit more in something that can handle any game I throw at it. Thanks for the tips on the monitors. I haven’t seen duel monitors in person, but they look great. Do you think this setup would be strong?
