What causes your ping to increase significantly when you're using the game's screen?
Recently, my latency in games such as Valorant and Apex Legends has been unusually high, often exceeding 300 ms. This was surprising because other titles like R6 and Battlefront didn’t experience similar issues. I discovered that switching between Discord and the game via Alt+Tab reduces my ping significantly. When I return to the game after using Alt+Tab, my ping drops to around 14ms and gradually increases back up to 300 ms in just a few seconds. I’m wondering why this happens and how I can resolve it. I’m not closing the game, but my screen doesn’t stay focused on it when it returns to normal latency. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
