It's intriguing you learned this. I did a reprocessing with NT-H1 a few years back without any temperature issues, though I plan to switch to NT-H2 next time.

It's worth considering. Likewise, I found NT H1 to be great. The initial outcomes exceeded what we expected. Indeed, temperatures rose slightly after roughly three months. Verified and it was removed. UncleWebb had mentioned here some time ago, suggesting H2 instead. It offers comparable results but doesn't produce the same effect. I removed it after three months to evaluate, and the H2 still performed well while the H1 seemed inconsistent.

Hey guys. I just had my laptop serviced today, which took around an hour. The technician said one of the fans wasn’t working properly. Now the games are running smoothly and I’m no longer experiencing the FPS drop problem. But the CPU temperature is still high, around 95-98 degrees Celsius. The GPU temperature is okay now, staying between 74-75 degrees for about 30 minutes while playing GTA V at the highest settings in 1080p. I’m mainly worried about the CPU temperature. Also, just to note, it’s an i7 10750H.

Gaming laptops tend to get warm, but I think the temperature is excessive for a 10750H. Have they possibly changed the thermal paste? Also, do you employ a cooling pad?

I notice numerous complaints regarding gaming laptops underperforming.
Typically, they run while connected to a power source.
A frequent issue is thermal throttling.
Laptop coolers are often compact and lightweight by necessity.
They also tend to be relatively weak in power handling.
If you open an application like HWMonitor or HWinfo, you’ll see the current, minimum, and maximum CPU temperatures.
For Intel processors, a maximum of 100°C indicates throttling.
The CPU will reduce its clock speed and power consumption to safeguard itself until conditions improve.
With a lower multiplier, your CPU usage might actually reach 100%.
What can be done?
Check first that your cooler’s airflow is unobstructed and the fan is operating.
Use Windows balanced power profile instead of performance mode.
Set a minimum CPU performance level around 20%.
It may seem unusual, but consider adjusting the advanced settings of Windows Balanced Power Profile to a maximum of 90% rather than the default 100%.
You might not immediately notice the slight drop in performance.

They confirmed it and I agree. I believe the temperature displayed was off. I just started Horizon Zero Dawn, hadn't been using it much or doing heavy CPU tasks before. According to the MSI afterburner, I was around 97-100 degrees while the game was loading, and the laptop wasn't even warm. Once the game began, the readings dropped to 92-97 and stayed that way most of the time. The laptop only became slightly warm, which felt almost comfortable. From what I can see, everything seems normal.

Hey, I didn't consider updating the profile. I've been running in performance mode for a while; I'm switching back to balanced mode and wish the temperature stays lower. Thanks!
