What causes my system to stop working often?
I’m struggling to understand what’s going wrong with my system. Over the past year I’ve replaced all the hardware, yet my PC still doesn’t meet its expected performance. The main problem is frequent freezing—whether I’m using Unreal engine, Photoshop, or just browsing files, the computer will completely stall. Sometimes it freezes for long periods and I have to press the power button to shut it down. It often happens while trying to access the HD. I no longer have a physical hard drive; my main storage is an SSD (2TB), followed by a 4TB NVME drive, and an external T5 Evo 8TB connected via USB C.
System specs are:
- Windows 11 25H2 (fresh install last month)
- 2TB Lexar NS100 SSD
- Intel i7 14700KF (3.4GHz)
- 64 GB Corsair RAM @ 1064MHz
- RTX 3090 24GB
- MSI Pro B760M-P motherboard
Userbench says everything looks fine, but it’s not.
Could it be that Windows 11 is the issue?
Nothing at all. Only a firm lock and I need to power down completely. This has occurred twice after I reinstalled Windows 11 on December 18th. The typical problem is just a brief freeze, around 5 to 7 seconds. Perhaps my storage NVME is failing though. Since this issue has been ongoing for several years, it's the only hardware I haven't replaced.
Oh no, the NVME was swapped out. I was using a Patriot drive instead of a Crucial one. I didn't realize I had transferred all the files to a different drive. So essentially, everything about my hardware has been changed.
Sure, I'll make sure to rephrase it while keeping the same meaning and tone.
This discussion about the Lexar drive is essential and important. Please confirm.
