Hello, I recently changed my PC from a 3080ti with a 750W power supply to an ASUS TUF 3090 paired with a 1000W Gold PSU.
My main usage is for the GPU when working on 3D projects and rendering. After the upgrade, while rendering a project, I notice my monitors go black and display 'no signal' when turned back on. I have to press the power button to shut it down and then restart it, after which the monitors turn back on.
I’m certain the GPU is still running even when the monitors are off, as the fans continue to spin at high speeds.
Here are my PC specifications:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (6-core)
RAM: 64.0 GB
GPU: ASUS TUF RTX 3090
PSU: Corsair RM1000e Gold (1000W)
Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS

Hey there,
Consistently at load? Have you modified cables or ports?
Have you attempted to uninstall the GPU driver using DDU and reinstall it?
Are all system drivers current, including the chipset?
What BIOS version are you using on the motherboard?
Is the 3090 a new model or second-hand?

Hi, thank you for your reply.
While rendering at maximum load each frame, it displays the image (with a slight slowdown between frames).
I haven’t altered the cables, as both PSUs are Corsair models and use the same type 4 cable sets.
I just reinstalled the GPU driver using DDU, updated chipset drivers, and refreshed the BIOS.
The card was purchased second-hand.
I’ll attempt rendering again tonight to check if the problem persists.
Thanks.

I spent an hour outside my house updating the driver, then returned to my monitors with no signal. The PC remained operational in the background since I could remotely connect and manage it. The render engine displayed the error 'CUDA error 999'.

This happens for different reasons – power issues, heat, software problems, or even physical damage."
"The PC remained active in the background since I can remotely connect to it and manage it."
"Typically, this is due to overheating VRAM. Use hwinfo to check GPU core, hot spots, and memory junction.

Hello, just letting you know the situation after a couple of days of testing. The issue appears to be resolved following the updates to all drivers and the rendering software. Thanks for your assistance.
