My computer specifications are: i5-9600K, RTX 2070 SUPER, 16 GB (8x2GB) RAM at 3200 MHz, a 2 TB hard drive, and a 256 GB SSD. In the games I play, I consistently experience low frame rates. For instance, in *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt*, I achieve approximately 75 frames per second with occasional dips to 50, while utilizing maximum settings. However, YouTube videos running at the same ultra settings display frame rates of 100-120.

Check for programs not running in the background, close them using Task Manager and ensure nothing unnecessary starts at boot. Run games again with settings lowered to high, monitor changes, assess improvements, and recognize that benchmarks are often performed on clean systems with minimal background processes. Examine online resources to identify game settings detrimental to framerates or demanding on the CPU, and adjust them accordingly. Considering a 6-core 6-thread processor, investigate whether slowdowns stem from CPU limitations rather than GPU constraints, especially if gaming at 1080p or 1440p.

At what display resolution are you operating? Furthermore, is your system running with default settings or utilizing an overclocked configuration?

Are you certain the RAM is operating at 3200MHz and in dual-channel mode?

My system includes an RTX 2070 SUPER, an i5-9600K processor, and 16GB of RAM. Today I installed No Man’s Sky and experienced frame rate drops from 120-130 fps on ultra settings to 70 fps. This issue is also present in The Witcher 3 and Hitman 2. Please advise.

What power supply unit and model is being used? What are the CPU, GPU temperatures and usage during gameplay? What is the RAM, SSD, and HDD utilization? Perform a malware scan on the system.
