I have one of them out, currently on the lock screen. No peripherals are connected as requested, but I can't unlock it this way to see how it performs with an unlocked display. Should I keep testing with the other slot and RAM, or should I try unlocking? Also, this has been the longest period where everything hasn’t shut off on the lock screen.

Yeah it stops working after some time, there were no display drivers set up yet, so I’ll just keep swapping the RAMs.
Update: I’m wondering why this would make the power button ineffective. My thought is that the front panel also loses power when this happens, not earlier. It seems like a bad idea to keep shutting down the PC from the PSU.

When you connect the kb and m, does the device power down?

The connection was successful initially, but the screen and accessories now shut down after about 30 seconds of idling in the background on the desktop, which might be trying to find the right display drivers automatically. After that, the power button also stops working, usually following the shutdown of the display and peripherals.
