Hi everyone!
I've been facing crashes or black screens on my PC every time I start games like NBA 2K25 and Deadlock. At first, it only happened mid-game – the screen would go black, but I could still hear the audio and chat through Discord. The issue was sporadic, but it seems to have become more frequent lately. Now I can't launch the game properly, and the audio stops working, causing a black screen and even random restarts.
I know this suggests hardware problems, but I'd really appreciate any help in identifying the cause.
Mobo: ROG Crosshair VIII Hero X570
CPU: Ryzen 5600
GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 ti FTW
RAM Corsair Vengeance Pro 4000Mhz (4 x 8GB)
SSD: Samsung 970
PSU: Corsair 850
Thanks in advance!

Corsair is the manufacturer of this power supply, and its advertised output is 850W. The model can be identified by checking the label on the side of the unit. Please note the age of the device as well.

Hi Friend!
The PSU is roughly four years old. It's an RM850 gold. I notice crashes occur when the GPU temperature reaches 49°C. These crashes happen even if I just turn on the PC and start my games. The BIOS version matches what I had when I built the PC, and I haven't changed any parts or the operating system.

Hello everyone! I’m sorry for the delayed response because of some pending tasks. In recent days I carried out several troubleshooting steps, including:
1. Reformatting the PC.
2. Updating the Mobo BIOS.
3. Removing GPU drivers using DDU and reinstalling everything.
4. Checking my RAM with memtest and confirming no issues.
5. Stress testing the GPU through Heaven for 30 minutes at high load, with no errors.
6. Running cinebench to test the CPU multiple times while monitoring via AMD Ryzen Master, also without errors.

Following these actions I managed to play deadlock at the lowest settings without crashes, but when running games like NBA 2k25 and Undisputed the PC would show black screens after startup.
Any further advice would be appreciated.

It seems the PSU might struggle with the power surge from the 3080ti after many years. Do you have a replacement PSU available?

Consider lowering the power cap for the graphics card with MSI Afterburner prior to swapping the PSU to determine if the problem continues.

Test 50% to check if power spikes are the issue.

I don't believe the problem is due to a power spike, since that wouldn't normally trigger the PC to restart. Your RAM is likely running at 4000Mhz; you might want to try lowering it to 3200Mhz.
