I'm not sure if this will assist, but I rely on SyncToy to transfer folders from my PC to my USB or external drive.

Dropbox functions well for me, enabling file synchronization so information is available anywhere.

They’ll have about 2.5 TB of data to back up. For smaller jobs I still use Dropbox. I’ll take a look later. Thanks.

I work with Backup4All, it performs well and the free version Fbackup offers similar capabilities.

I've heard positive feedback about crashplan. It offers free local backup, so you're covered as long as you have an external drive.
