Thank you for the link. It's interesting to note that the page didn't appear in my search results when I looked for longest running laptops. Nonetheless, I understand they perform a "gaming" benchmark. To mimic higher demands, which is what I meant, they handle both video playback and "video game" simulations through Uniengine. My perspective remains valid.

Don't begin a timer, play the game you prefer, and once you see the battery is low, review how much time you've spent playing.

Heavy usage is another matter.
Contrasting two different laptops is a separate challenge.
However, using that platform and their evaluations, I might encounter problems.
For the Microsoft Surface Go 3, the video playback duration is reported as 3.6 hours.
I own the same device.
Testing it with VLC last night, I recorded 6 hours and 55 minutes.
Currently, I'm testing again, aiming to mimic their setup as accurately as possible.
Airplane mode (WiFi/BT disabled), optimal battery performance, etc.
Thus far, 2 hours and 35 minutes, with 72% remaining charge.

If you run both laptops under identical tests, it’s important to understand why the outcome might differ. You’re checking how long each one lasts using the same procedures. Since you plan to choose based on battery life, knowing which performs better is key. Results from different sites can vary, as seen with the Surface Laptop Studio claiming longer life than the Yoga 9i, but my own experience tells a different story. I rely on real-world testing rather than online reviews.

Since I'd prefer to do something else during that time, I'd like to conduct a test that doesn't require me to be on my laptop.
