So im building a PC and ive chosen the 3700x over the 3600x for some extra future proofing (and its at the edge of what im willing to spend). Its currently £289.99 on amazon, should I get it now or will it get cheaper on black friday/cyber monday? Or has anyone seen it cheaper somewhere else? Edit: Just found out I have a test tomorrow that I thought was on thursday so if anyone is waiting for me to respond to they're comments it might take awhile cuz ill be panic studying.

Doesn't hurt to wait regardless. If there isnt anything, just pull the trigger

I believe the majority of BF sales will target the second generation, which means I won't anticipate strong third-generation performance.

I understand. I haven't encountered any "sales" and many stores are still increasing the price of the 3900X. I realize it's not the focus you're aiming for—my point is about pricing patterns for Ryzen 3000 in the US market. You'd likely notice "sales" on other parts before you see a meaningful drop in the CPU cost.

I believe the 3700x is likely the most favored Ryzen chip in the lineup, which means it’s unlikely to drop in cost soon.

I'm waiting to purchase the 3900x until BF checks for any discounts. Since it's unavailable everywhere, I'm not optimistic. Please let me know if you have any thoughts.
