Space is available to shift the fan 3mm, so it should be cleared. It might be worth spending more on the Kingston Fury beast, though. The GPU shouldn't operate at x8 unless the second M.2 is connected to M2C_SB, since that port links to the chipset rather than the GPU. The Gigabyte manual doesn't mention this detail. I haven't found a board that maintains performance at x8 when using the second M.2 that connects to the CPU's x16 lanes.

Concerning the motherboard and PCIe lanes, I believe the MSI X870E EDGE TI maintains all GPU lanes even with M2 installations. It may require removing USB4 ports if necessary, but it does not eliminate GPU lanes as previously thought.

On the AsRock board, I wouldn’t recommend to take a chance. The board may be perfectly fine, but there have been reports of their boards killing cpus on the am5 socket.
Don’t get me wrong, not that AsRock is a bad company. In fact, I’ve got an AsRock steel legend 9070xt in my build now and had a very reliable socket am4 board from them until I fried it. But I’ve seen enough reports of issues with cpus dying on some of their socket am5 boards that I’d avoid one of their motherboards this generation.

If you can secure a 5090 for 16,249 kr, I’d be interested in that offer, unless there’s something even cheaper available.
