So if you're unfamiliar with what I'm referring to, TF2 is intended to bring back an update named "The Gun Mettle." This update introduces payment for missions—such as those in Counter-Strike: GO—and new weapon skins. These skins come with distinct wear levels: Factory New, Field-Tested, and Battle-Scarred. The wear effect also draws inspiration from Valve's game Counter-Strike: GO... You've likely heard of it too, as Counter-Strike features various weapon tiers paired with unique skins: Civilian, Freelance, Mercenary, Command, Assassin, or Elite. Each weapon has a slightly different paint job, ensuring no two weapons look exactly alike.

Now you can collect weapons dropped by others that match your class—like taking enemy gear—but instead of gaining ammo, dying takes you to a medium ammo box. Valve also added "StatClock" to certain skinned weapons (possibly Stattrack) and introduced an inspection button, similar to what's in CS:GO, so you can view your weapon stats on the fly. They've also expanded the map selection and added new taunts.

After reading all this, what are your thoughts? Honestly, I don’t like many of these changes except for the maps and the taunts. The weapon skins seem overly complicated—getting the right weapon crate, key, and appropriate wear feels like a lot. It would be nice if everything were simpler.

Anyway, what do you think about this update? For details on all the weapon changes and new features, check out the page here: http://www.teamfortress.com/gunmettle/powerhouse.php

It's great they included Snowplow in the game now! This change could make me want to revisit TF2 after waiting nearly four months.

I'm looking forward to Snowplow... just make sure it's not too confusing!

I tried it on unofficial servers after the EOTL update came out—it worked smoothly and felt really great. Plus, some other maps and game modes can be more confusing than Snowplow.

I understand, I was teasing about that as Valves' reason for not releasing it, and I'm in agreement—some maps can be quite confusing. I hope after 1414 hours new maps won't add to the confusion, even though when this update was first mentioned I thought Valve was joking at first...

I enjoy the updated maps. There are some skin options that don’t quite work well, but others are great. I plan to purchase my pass for the contracts. Plus, Tomislav is now really impressive.

Yeah, I left TF2 when the Free 2 play update launched. No regrets. It's not a game. It's a money shitstorm at best.
