I'm working on my 8320 and trying to figure out the safe temperature range. It's currently running at 3.8GHz, 1.3625v with the original cooler. I also have an open side case for additional cooling. I've changed from a poor IBP stock case to a CM H500 and upgraded to a 1600 with a new motherboard and RAM. I'm trying to get every bit of performance out of this CPU for about a month before moving on.

With the AMD Overdrive monitor, you can track your thermal margin, which shows how far you are from overheating. As long as you stay below or equal to 0°C, you're safe. However, don't rely too heavily on this cooler or processor.
