Other factors to consider when choosing an aftermarket cooler:
Enhanced cooling efficiency, enabling the CPU to maintain higher boost speeds for extended periods (though not necessarily forever)
Prevents hot air from being directed onto the motherboard and nearby parts
Offers a reliable method of recirculating some of the warm air back into the cooler
Performs better than Intel's push-pin installation system
Although it may require some effort, I've found myself doubting whether the pins consistently pushed sufficiently. Other adjustments don't need to be double or triple verified.

On a price-to-performance scale, it's difficult to surpass.
I'm testing it on a 13100 with a 60w processor.
When I run the cpu-Z benchmark which fully utilizes all threads, I can't detect the cooler even from two feet away. This is inside a Lian li Q-03 case that has no fans.
My advice is to give it a try and observe the results.
It's free to do.
Consider replacing it if you feel it's necessary.

I recently purchased a 12100 for a low-power setup. At first, I intended to use the built-in cooler. However, I found an Assassin X120 at a very affordable price and thought it might be quieter than the stock cooler. The i3 12100 doesn’t have e-cores—was this the end of the line for four Intel cores? Reviews suggest it’s responsive and speeds up when processing tasks, possibly generating enough heat to make the stock cooler vibrate. It seems like an unnecessary upgrade. I figured it was worth spending about $20 on a aftermarket solution. Oh well, I appreciate quirky things.

Following the timeline of Intel's processor launches, it appears that roughly every two years, a new generation or enhancement emerges, often delivering around a 15% increase in performance relative to the previous model.
